"VISUALIZING HOPE: WHO IS GOD?"

The Arts Group of Union Avenue and the Gretchen Brigham Gallery unveil the new Midwest Exhibit, “Visualizing Hope: Who is God?” This invitational show was juried by Father Terrence Dempsey, S.J., founder and director emeritus of MOCRA, the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art. Join him during the opening reception for his remarks at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2.

Forty-two works will be displayed October 1 through November 28, 2021, from 25 artists . The show and reception are free and are being held in person at the gallery, which is certified as ArtSafe by the Missouri Arts Council. The Gallery is located in Union Avenue Christian Church, 733 Union Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108. Make a reservation for a private viewing and more info at www.union-avenue.org/agua

Every Saturday the gallery will feature a “Who is God” artist at the gallery from 12:30 – 4:30. Saturdays through the run of the show are “open gallery” and do not require advance reservations. Check out Facebook@GretchenBrighamGallery for the Saturday artist line-up schedule.

Every Saturday from October 9 – November 27 join one or two Visualizing Hope artists from 12:30 – 4:30. No need to make a reservation. Here's the schedule:

November 6 -- Sukanya Mani & Sue Giannotti;

November 27 -- Ann Croghan & Glynis McMannamon.

Some will bring more work to share, and some might do a demo. Stop by, it's casual and relaxed.
