The METRO TRANS UMBRELLA GROUP will bring together the disparate communities it serves for an evening of celebration and advocacy at Union Avenue Christian Church Saturday, February 3. A facilitated panel discussion of parents and partners of transgender adults will begin the evening's activities at 5 p.m. followed by a concert in the Union Avenue Sanctuary. A $10 minimum donation is appreciated.

Metro Trans Umbrella Group is a grassroots nonprofit organization that is diligently working to create a more inclusive and supportive community here in St. Louis, by bringing together the community of trans, gender queer, androgynous, intersex, and allies in the metro area through community building, visibility, advocacy, and education.

Every 29 hours, a trans person is murdered in our country. Help end the violence and bigotry by empowering our leaders and supporting the work of the Metro Trans Umbrella Group.

Soup, bread and snacks will be served; this is an alcohol-free event. All ages welcome, and all proceeds benefit the work of the Metro Trans Umbrella Group.
