Budget Bites: March 16, 2023

The Ad Hoc Budget Committee met on March 13 to finalize the 2023 budget and prioritize its recommendations for the Board to consider at the March 26 meeting. 

The Board meeting will begin in person at 12:30 p.m. with an option to join virtually (A link will be shared with the congregation the morning of March 26). Hard copies of the proposed budget will be available for those who attend in person. Please plan to bring your own brown bag lunch or snack.

As a reminder, the Board meeting is open to all members of the congregation, but only the Board will be voting on the budget and other agenda items at that time. During the board meeting, we will discuss details of the proposed final budget, as well as several short-term and long-term recommendations that the Ad Hoc Committee believes must be considered to promote the continued financial integrity and health of our church. The recommendations stem not only from the committee’s research, but also from the thoughtful concerns, insights and feedback we received over the last three months from the congregation. 

Your engagement in the church’s financial health will be vital as the board moves forward as good stewards of the contributions we receive regularly and the endowed gifts that others have entrusted us to use as we share Christ’s love with others.

All members of the congregation will have the opportunity to hear about the budget, ask questions and vote on the final budget at a Congregational Meeting immediately following worship on April 2. Hard copies of the budget will be available with our regular Sunday bulletin.
