The Ivory Perry Park Concert Series kicks off its sixteenth season with St. Louis' reigning "Queen of the Blues" KIM MASSIE Sunday, June 24, in Ivory Perry Park, 800 Belt Avenue in the Visitation Park neighborhood. Ms. Massie is making her third appearance on the Ivory Perry Park Concert Series stage, dating back to the first season in 2002. An accomplished performer and one of the most recognizable vocalists in the Midwest, Kim Massie has always been destined for stardom.

While the music is the centerpiece of the evening, which begins at 6 p.m., there will be free yoga with Yoga Buzz, arts and crafts, bouncy house, face painting, and more beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The concert series continues with SUNSHINE'S PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE lighting up the park Sunday, July 23. Sunshine's Performance Ensemble taps into the rich history of West Africa to teach children and youth of East St. Louis the dances and drumming rituals that inform cultural pride and community empowerment. This innovative program and performance ensemble cultivates discipline, community, and elevates form, movement and rhythm as vehicles for transformation and celebration.

The summer series rolls to a close with SKEET RODGERS & THE INNER CITY BLUES BAND pumping out classic, St. Louis-style blues Sunday, August 26.

Pack a picnic, grab a blanket or lawn chairs, and meet us in Ivory Perry Park for some free family fun!
